THE STORY AND THE SOLUTION
Shcrubicus demonstrates that we constantly change. Everyone started out with something, even though it may not match initial design preferences anymore. Five years ago this was our home, now looking back, we can notice the progression of our tastes over five years.
Love to details, old things, and history appreciation, all of this is present in the apartment of the Ukrainian designer Sergey Makhno. Apartment is filled with enormous amount of design objects. Some Sergey had brought from his workshop, some were found on the street. For instance, an aspen log, now a coffee table, was found 300 km away from Kyiv.
White-grey tones in the apartment are dissolved by colorful pillows, picture frames, and hexagonal light fixtures, wrapped in purple and pink threads. In this remarkable Kyiv’s flat harmoniously coexist elements of different ages, bringing it a special charm.
