THE STORY AND THE SOLUTION
The first floor of Hyatt was the site for creating a compact but stylish store. Sergey Makhno’s workshop keenly divided the L shaped space into presumable three zones: refrigerating and cooling zone, working space, and a mini showroom for displaying flower compositions.
Solution in this case included a neutral, but a very classical design with an art decor character. Snow white walls became a surface for sprouting white gypsum flower reliefs, designed specifically for this space. Full wall length facade windows accent upon solemnity and impartiality of floristry as art. These windows lead into hotel’s lobby making the space seem lighter and voluminous. Letting it express airy ambience and creative freedom, and most importantly, love towards favorite occupation, observed by hotel's guests.
Inside the store, there is a round polished reception desk that also performs as a work stand for a visible flower composition designs.
Designer's Chairs Panton, artistic vases by Sergey Makhno and radiant accents of live flowers, imported from different countries, is how we have interpreted forty six square meters of space into our vision of a lavish flower boutique.
“Everything has to look pristine, like a wild grove, oases in the dessert of this cold and stern building, however, at the same time organized. Flowers are like medicine, they heal the soul”, comments project designer Sergey Makhno.
- REALIZATION 6 monthи, February 2014
We invested in creating an interior to be maximum simple, natural, and light. It combines all elements necessary for flowers to grow: lots of light, warmth and air, so that here was life, space full of growing and blooming orchids, camellias, medinillas and echeveria.
