“A few years ago we could only dream about victories in such competitions. In this project I combined Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, Ukrainian traditions, modern art and family comfort. The walls, for example, are made in the technology that our great-grandparents used in their huts. All my family loves this apartment, although once my wife cried that she did not want to live in a dugout. And I am grateful to my family and my team, together we risked and created something new and interesting”, Sergey Makhno says.
The award ceremony will take place in the famous architectural project of Frank Gehry - Guggenheim Museum in the Spanish city of Bilbao.
